Steve Yellen was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in his mid-50s. He chose to approach the disease the same way he has approached every major challenge: with analysis, discipline and action. He immersed himself in research, leaned into data and built a structured, science-informed plan to live his best life while doing everything possible to slow progression. Exercise became central to that strategy, leading him to train daily and compete in triathlons, Spartan obstacle course races and even the Empire State Building stair climb.
Beyond his personal health journey, Steve is deeply engaged in Parkinson’s advocacy and research participation. He works to raise awareness, support legislation and encourage others to move from passivity to participation in their own care.
Professionally, Steve is a seasoned technology marketing executive with more than 25 years of experience spanning pricing strategy, product marketing and executive leadership across technology-driven companies.
An engineer by training, Steve holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Connecticut.
His book, Living Parkinson’s, brings together the lessons, frameworks and real-life stories that have helped him — and many others — live fully and deliberately with Parkinson’s.
Steve lives in Connecticut and continues to promote the Living Parkinson’s message of resilience, action and possibility.
